Hi there, thank you for taking a look at my site! What took you so long to find me?
I am Sally and I live near the South Downs in West Sussex. On weekdays I am a Legal Executive and I work for a local authority. At other times I wear a variety of hats including Mum to Andrew, an 18 year old who has just finished his first year at University, partner to Mark who is a music and Rugby League obsessed northerner, chief cook and bottle washer, cleaner and “fun” runner to name a few!!
When I have a spare minute I escape to my hideaway upstairs and try to be creative. I began making felt flowers back in January 2012 and I have experimented with different shapes, sizes and styles, making them in to brooches and adding them to hair and pony tail bands. All my initial types were glued with a hot glue gun and whilst I am still making these, I have also rediscovered my embroidery skills, with some pleasing results.
Since starting out on the crafty road last year I have attended many craft fairs, some successful and some not. I have become part of the crafters’ co-operative at Crafters’ Corner in Littlehampton where I have a small range of items on sale in the shop in Clifton Road. I now have some of my popular loopy flower brooches on sale in Cobblestone Walk in Steyning and have a Folksy shop which can be easily accessed from this link on the right if you want to have a look . I also have a Facebook page.
I tend to mostly write about craft-type things but occasionally you will find a fairly light-hearted blog about another random subject which I hope might amuse. If you feel like commenting, please do, I would love to hear from you.
